I love browsing charity shops and finding neat little bargains for cheap prices, not to mention the warm little glow I feel knowing that those few pounds could make a difference to someone's life. If you are savvy about your shopping then you will find that charity shops can be a haven of vintage clothing, great literature and interesting little trinkets. I practically swore by them when I was in university - I could find cool clothes and handy homewares all without breaking the bank! A personal favourite in my collection of Charity shop finds is my slightly battered copy (it was like new when I got it!) of Catcher in the Rye, I hadn't read it until then and now I highly rate it as one of the best books that was ever published. My most recent browse lead me to find this fantastic little vintage bag for just £6 in my local Naomi House store, I couldn't stop thinking about it and so I knew that I had to buy it. The volunteer at the counter begrudgingly advised me that she had her eye on it but she told me to take care of it and I most certainly will! It's only a medium size bag however it is the perfect size to fit my purse, phone, keys and lipstick in and it proves a chic little accompaniment to any outfit. I'm looking forward to pairing it with my summer wardrobe and adding that little vintage edge to my outfits that I feel I have recently been missing. I am definitely an advocate for Charity shop thrifting, you never know what you might find and so I urge you all to take a peek next time you walk past one!
